The Liquidation
I am liquidating the small man who was once the Technician. He explored the world. He loved to practice art. He survived many storms. He can't walk with me where I'm heading. I'm leaving him behind. No shame, and he understands this. We have a good conversation, and he knows it. He can't walk with me where I'm heading. He loved me and tried his best To keep me small like himself, To see only what is on the bench, and he knows it. He can't walk with me where I'm heading. I can't divorce him. I can't leave him alive. He said already he would come back, and I know it. He can't walk with me where I'm heading. I have to liquidate him without torture, a painless execution, and we both know it. He can't walk with me where I'm heading. No flowers. No regrets. No tears. RIP The Technician.
